Regulation (EC) No 1726/98 - adopted by the Commission of the European Communities in July 1998 - which amends Regulation (EEC) No 2037/93 relating to the application of Council Regulation (EEC) No 2081/92.

Further information:

This Regulation created an EU symbol (or logo) to label agricultural and food products whose names are registered under the Protection of Designations of Origins (PDO) and Geographical Indications (PGI) legislation. This logo is to allow producers of food products to increase awareness of their products amongst consumers.

This Regulation was implicitly repealed by Commission Regulation (EC) No 1898/2006.
