Communication published by the European Commission in July 2016, which sets out a number of measures to tackle the fragmentation of the European Union's cybersecurity market.
This Communication was published due to the need to look at ways to address the evolving cybersecurity reality and to assess additional measures that may be necessary to improve the EU's cybersecurity resilience response. This Communication presents measures aiming to strengthen Europe’s cyber resilience system and to foster a competitive and innovative cybersecurity industry in Europe, as announced in the EU Cybersecurity Strategy and in the Digital Single Market (DSM) strategy. It was published alongside a Decision to establish a contractual public private partnership on cybersecurity (cPPP).
