A meeting of the Competitiveness Council (COMPET) was held on 9-10 June 2022. This meeting focusing on matters relating to the internal market and industry, research and space. The agenda included the following items:

  • Adoption of conclusions on European missions;
  • Policy debate on ways to support young researchers in times of crisis and how to ensure good working conditions and long-term career prospects;
  • Adoption of conclusions on the future of the Copernicus programme up to 2035;
  • Adoption of conclusions on space traffic management (STM);
  • Policy debate on the resilience and competitiveness of the EU space programme;
  • Update by the European Commission on the state of play on the implementation of the new governance of the European Research Area (ERA).
