Conclusions on enhancing teachers’ and trainers’ mobility, in particular European mobility, during their initial and in-service education and training

Summary:

Set of conclusions adopted by EU Member State representatives at a meeting of the Council of the European Union on 5 April 2022, concerning the (European) mobility of teachers and trainers during their initial and in-service education and training.

Further information:

The text places European mobility as beneficial to teacher and trainer education and training. Therefore, particular attention should be provided to prospective teachers and trainers and their access to mobility as part of their initial education and training. Mobility for teachers and trainers should continue to be promoted and expanded in order to become common practice.

The text invites Member States to remove existing barriers, offer organisational and financial support and encourage the mobility of teachers and future teachers.

The conclusions were adopted a meeting of the Council of the European Union on 5 April 2022. They were published in the Official Journal on 21 April 2022.
