Council Decision (CFSP) 2020/651 amending Decision (CFSP) 2019/797 concerning restrictive measures against cyber-attacks threatening the Union or its Member States

Decision adopted by the Council of the European Union on 14 May 2020, which extends for another year the restrictive measures framework against cyber-attacks which threaten the EU or its member states.

Further information:

Council Decision (CFSP) 2019/797 establishes a framework for targeted restrictive measures to deter and respond to cyber attacks with a significant effect which constitute an external threat to the European Union (EU) or its Member States.

The framework initially applied until 18 May 2020. Upon review, the Council of the European Union decided to adopt this Decision, which extends the restrictive measures until 18 May 2021.
