EU invites Turkey to the summit table

European Council President Donald Tusk announced on the 12 November 2015 that Turkey's President Recep Tayip Erdoğan would be invited to a summit meeting in Brussels in the coming weeks to discuss and hopefully agree on a programme to deal with the flow of Syrian refugees from its borders into the EU. As part of this programme the EU was likely to give €3bn to Turkey.
