Eurogroup meeting, 9 October 2019

Summary:

A meeting of the Eurogroup was held on 9 October 2019. Once again it met in its regular format as well as in its inclusive format. The agenda includes the following items:

• Agreement on all critical elements of governance and financing of the budgetary instrument for convergence and competitiveness (BICC) for the Eurozone;
• Briefing on the latest activities of the ECB's Supervisory Board and of the Single Resolution Fund (SRF);
• Exchange of views on developments in competitiveness in the Eurozone, on the basis of a technical note from the European Commission;
• Briefing on the main findings of the 10th post-programme surveillance mission to Portugal;
• Endorsement of the bid of Fabio Panetta to the ECB's Executive Board;
• Launch of call for candidates to a vacancy on the ECB's Executive Board;
• Discussion on the economic outlook in the Eurozone;
• Briefing on exchange rate developments over the latest months.
