Summary: The European Commission published the annual European Innovation Scoreboard on 14 September 2022. Further information: The European Innovation Scoreboard (EIS) provides a comparative analysis of innovation performance in countries of the European Union (EU), other European countries, and regional neighbours. It helps countries assess the relative strengths and weaknesses of their national innovation systems and identify challenges that they need to address. The European Innovation Scoreboard 2022 was released on 22 September 2022. The 2022 edition of the EIS shows that innovation performance has increased for the EU as a whole (by about 10%) and almost all Member States since 2015. Performance has increased most in Cyprus, Estonia and Greece. For two Emerging Innovators, Croatia and Poland, innovation performance has grown faster than the EU average. |
