Speaking at a summit of Balkan leaders in the Macedonian capital of Skopje, Patten said assistance could dry up soon. "The people of Kosovo need a wake-up call because it is the whole of Kosovo that risks paying - literally and figuratively - if this barbarism carries on." NATO foreign ministers have agreed to reduce the five-kilometre protection zone on Kosovo's border with Serbia in a bid to clamp down on ethnic Albanian bandits.
