A meeting of the Foreign Affairs Council was held on 17 July 2017. The agenda includes the following topics:

+ Debate on the priorities for the implementation of the EU Global Strategy for the following year;

+ Discussion on developments in Libya and review of the EU's response, together with the future prospects for the country, followed by the adoption of conclusions;

+ Discussion on North Korea (DPRK) in light of latest developments, including the launch of a ballistic missile earlier in the month, followed by the adoption of conclusions;

+ Discussion on migration, focusing on the situation on the Central Mediterranean route;

+ Other issues: adoption of crisis management concept for for a civilian mission in support of security sector reform in Iraq; conclusions on Pakistan and on the EU priorities at the United Nations and the 72nd UN General Assembly.
