Commentary feature in which author suggests that Eurozone bail-out involvement by the IMF is not justified. The best contribution the IMF could conceivably make, therefore, is to stay out of programmes beyond those it is already committed to. If it has to become involved, it should at the very least try to make any further commitments conditional on fundamental policy shifts, both at national and eurozone level.
