Informal video conference of agriculture and fisheries ministers, 25 January 2021

Summary:

EU Ministers responsible for matters relating to agriculture and fisheries (AGRIFSH) held an informal videoconference on 25 January 2021. The agenda included the following items:

• Discussion on guidance for the start of formal bilateral EU-UK consultations on setting definite fishing opportunities for 2021 (and 2022 for some stocks);
• Exchange of views on the basis of a presentation by the European Commission on latest international trade developments and their impact on EU's agrifood sector;
• Presentation by the European Commission on an update to a study concerning the impact of trade agreements in EU agriculture;
• Briefing on the state of play of the post-2020 CAP reform package negotiations.
