EurActiv reports on an interview that Italian Foreign Minister Franco Frattini gave to Süddeutsche Zeitung on the 14 September 2011. He said that said Italy was ready to relinquish 'all the sovereignty necessary to create a genuine European central government' and draw a line under the euro zone's debt crisis.
