The former Bosnian Serb leader, Radovan Karadzic, has blamed Bosnian Muslims for the war in Yugoslavia. He told the war crimes tribunal in The Hague on the 1 March 2010 that the Muslims wanted to dominate the whole country.

Mr Karadzic told the ICTY that the Serb cause in the Bosnian war was 'just and holy' at the opening of his trial for war crimes. Karadzic suspended his previous boycott of the hearings to present his defense before the court in The Hague.
