Mandelson: African business is engine of African development

EU Trade Commissioner Peter Mandelson urged African business leaders, 16 November 2006 to be 'partners and constructive critics' as the European Union's Economic Partnership Agreements with four African regions enter their final year. Speaking to the EU-Africa Business forum in Brussels, Mandelson said: 'The EPAs are a tool for development. But it is African businesses who will be the engine'.
