Summary:Legislative initiative tabled by the European Commission on 19 September 2022, introducing amendments to Regulation (EU) 2016/424, Regulation (EU) 2016/425, Regulation (EU) 2016/426, Regulation (EU) 2019/1009 and Regulation (EU) No 305/2011 regarding emergency procedures for the conformity assessment, adoption of common specifications and market surveillance due to a Single Market emergency. This is a text with EEA relevance. Further information:Regulation (EU) 2016/424 sets out rules on the essential safety requirements, design, construction and entry into service of new cableways carrying passengers. Regulation (EU) 2016/425 lays down requirements for the design and manufacture of personal protection equipment (PPE). Regulation (EU) 2019/1009 concerns the conditions for making fertilisers available on the European Union's internal market. Regulation (EU) No 305/2011 sets out the conditions for the marketing of construction products, the methods and criteria for assessing and expressing their performance. The amendments proposed in this initiative are related to a draft Regulation establishing a Single Market emergency instrument (SMEI), which was adopted alongside this draft law by the European Commission on 19 September 2022. |
