Summary: Regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council of 16 January 2019 repealing and replacing Regulation (EEC) No 1365/75. Further information: Regulation (EEC) No 1365/75 established the European Foundation for the improvement of living and working conditions (Eurofound) to contribute to the planning and establishment of better living and working conditions through activities designed to increase and disseminate knowledge. The purpose of the revision, proposed by the European Commission in August 2016, is to align certain provisions of the regulation with the Common Approach on Decentralised Agencies. The revision also offers the opportunity to update the objectives and tasks of Eurofound. Since Regulation (EEC) No 1365/75 has been amended several times, it should be repealed and replaced in the interest of clarity. |
