On 4 December 2018 the European Commission presented a report on the implementation of its April 2018 communication on tackling online disinformation.

The Communication ‘Tackling online disinformation: a European approach’, adopted on 26 April 2018, delineates the challenges online disinformation presents to our democracies and outlines five clusters of actions for private and public stakeholders that respond to these challenges.

This report sets out the Commission’s assessment of the progress made in the implementation of the actions set out in the April Communication.

The report accompanies the Joint Communication ‘Action Plan against Disinformation’.
