Stocktaking of European elections

Summary:

Resolution adopted by the European Parliament's Committee on Constitutional Affairs (AFCO) taking stock of the European Parliament (EP) elections held in May 2019.

Further information:

The report sets out how to enhance democracy and reinforce European citizenship following the lessons learnt with the European elections in 2019. It welcomes higher turnout and increased youth participation and calls on momentum to be reinforced. It also argues for further guarantees on equal vote and representation for all citizens.

This Resolution was adopted by the relevant committee on 28 October 2020.
