The Syrian Regime Is Using ISIS to Punish Civilians

Commentary feature in which the author argued that the ISIS terrorist attack in the southern city of Sweida in July 2018 had more to do with the governing Syrian regime calculations than an ISIS resurgence. In this case the regime indirectly used ISIS as a method of punishing its opponents, the Druze Community.
