Adoption by the United Nations Security Council of Resolution 2321 (2016) on the DPRK

The United Nations Security Council adopted on 30 November the Resolution 2321/2016 which condemns North Korea's nuclear programme and aggressive attitude towards the international community.

The European Union's High Representative for Foreign Policy welcomed the adoption of the Resolution and stated it would promptly be transposed into EU law. She also reaffirmed that the DPRK needed to abide by all its international obligations and to re-engage with the international community in a credible and meaningful way.
