After striking murky gas deal, Ukraine bows to West

Ukraine's government decided to place it under the economy ministry, just like its parent company, Naftogaz. Later discussions with Western stakeholders revoked the move, over concerns it had been nothing but an attempt to feed the country's state corruption schemes.
