Băsescu urged to resign over alleged family bribe-taking

EurActiv reported on Romanian prosecutors had detained President Traian Băsescu's brother on the 19 June 2014 for allegedly taking a bribe to help keep an underworld boss out of jail, prompting the prime minister Victor Ponta to call for the president's resignation.
