Berlin pay subsidy helps on jobs, says study

Article reports an August 2009 study from the IAB labour market institute in Germany which said that Germany is likely to emerge from the 2008-09 brutal economic downturn without suffering a large-scale increase in unemployment due to the German government’s policy of subsidising wages.
