Brown turns to old foe for cabinet

EU Trade Commissioner Peter Mandelson stepped down from his position as the European Commissioner nominated by the United Kingdom, 3 October 2008, and returned to join the United Kingdom government. He was replaced by Baroness Catherine Ashton.
