Carcinogens or mutagens at work: Council agrees its position

On 13 October 2016 the Council of European Union reached agreement on its position on a directive to help protect workers from exposure to carcinogens or mutagens in the workplace. This now opens the way for discussions on the directive between the Council and the European Parliament.

The President of the Council was proud of this agreement. For him, it is an important step in helping us tackle the primary cause of work-related deaths in the European Union.
