The Celtic nations in the United Kingdom have protested at the UK Government’s calls for 'a substantial cut' in the Common Agricultural Policy budget and a phasing out of the Single Farm Payment.

The protests from Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland follow publication of the official UK response to the European Commission’s consultation on the shape of the post-2013 CAP.
