During the conference 'Good Food - Good Farming', taking place in Brussels on 10 February 2015, an official from the European Commission stated the reformed Common Agriculture Policy was set to be 'fairer' and maybe 'greener', but not 'simpler'.

Tassos Haniotis, director for economic analysis at the European Commission's agriculture department (DG AGRI), said the new CAP was going to be 'peculiar' because of the new Commission taking charge, 18 months after EU institutions agreed on the CAP reform.
