Commission publishes results of Call for Evidence on EU financial services

On 23 November 2016, the European Commission released the results of this public consultation looking at the cumulative effect of the new financial sector rules implemented since the crisis.
Follow-up actions to fine-tune the framework were proposed in the following four areas: removing unnecessary regulatory constraints on financing the economy, improving the proportionality of rules, reducing undue regulatory burdens, and making rules more consistent and forward-looking.
