Council conclusions on the Democratic Republic of the Congo

The Council of the European Union adopted on 17 October 2016 a set of conclusions regarding the situation in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).

It condemned the violent events of 19 and 20 September, expressed concerns about the political situation and the violation of human rights and highlighted the importance of cooperation between the DRC, international organizations and neighbouring countries in order to resolve the crisis.
