Council conclusions on Venezuela

On the 18 July 2016, the Council of the European Union reached a conclusion on Venezuela, which is facing economic and social challenges. Because more than half million European citizens are currently living there, the European Union and the neighbouring states outlined the importance of an urgent, constructive and effective dialogue between the government and the parliamentary majority in order bring the reconciliation in the country.
