The Council of the European Union adopted on 21 February 2017 its set of priorities concerning the EU budget for 2018. The Council argues for adequate resources to be provided towards the traditional and evolving priorities within the European Union, namely the recovery of the European economy, to address humanitarian and security challenges both within and outside the EU borders and to honour commitments already made under the current and previous programming periods. |
