EurActiv reported that a majority in the Danish parliament have signalled their readiness in 2013 to allow extraction and exports of uranium from Greenland, marking a historical shift in Danish foreign policy after 30 years of opposition to nuclear power.

Greenland has anywhere from the sixth to the tenth largest reserves of uranium in the world. If Greenland decides to mine these reserves, it will become a policy game changer for this non-mining, non-nuclear Kingdom.
