David Cameron: UK to resettle child refugees from Europe

Under pressure from many groups such as Save the Children and including some Conservative Party MPs, United Kingdom Prime Minister David Cameron announced on the 4 May 2016 a new initiative for unaccompanied asylum-seeking children to be resettled in the UK from Greece, Italy and France.

This initiative built on the announcement in April 2016 that up to 3,000 vulnerable children and family members would be resettled direct from the Middle East and North Africa.
