Earthquakes in Italy: Commission increases support to affected farming communities

On 23 January 2017 The European Commission has stated that it has started to further mobilise instruments at its disposal to provide relief to the farming communities affected by the recent earthquakes in Italy.

In the affected regions, Italian authorities will be able to complement the part of the €21 million of EU funds received in July 2016 that they have earmarked for earthquake-stricken regions with national fund up to 200%, thus tripling the available financial support.
