ECB raises fears over Irish rescue deal

Article reports that the European Central Bank has expressed concern December 2010 that Ireland’s rushed bank rescue package may interfere with its own operations to provide funds in support of the eurozone financial system.

The ECB’s comments on Ireland come in an opinion on proposed Irish legislation implementing a programme agreed by Dublin with European Union authorities and the International Monetary Fund to stabilise the Irish financial system.
