A meeting of the Environment Council was held on 13 October 2017. The agenda includes the following topics:

+ Discussion and adoption of positions on a legislative proposal on land-use, land-use change and forestry (LULUCF) and on the proposed effort-sharing regulation;

+ Adoption of conclusions on the Paris Agreement and preparations for the 23rd session of the Conference of the Parties (COP 23) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC);

+ Adoption of conclusions on the EU's priorities for the 3rd meeting of the United Nations Environment Assembly (UNEA-3).
