EU and Georgia to nibble at Russian occupation

Report of comments made by EU and Georgian officials at a conference in Batumi, Georgia, 12 July 2013. The EU and Georgia aimed to extend free trade and political association advantages to Georgia's rebel regions Abkhazia and South Ossetia in a bid to win hearts and minds.

The reaction of Russia to this suggestion was awaited.
