EU Antitrust Chief Prepares to Move Against Gazprom

EU Competition Commissioner Margrethe Vestager considered that, despite the Ukrainian crisis, she would move forward with the two-and-a half year long probe into Gazprom. The statement was made during to an interview with The Wall Street Journal in February 2015.

The European Commission opened an antitrust case against Gazprom in September 2012. At that time, it said it would treat the case as 'a matter of priority', but added that there was no deadline to complete the enquiry.
