EU calls for ‘dialogue’ in Libya amid US warnings

EurActiv reported France, Britain and Spain had started repatriating their nationals from Libya on the 21 February 2011 as clashes there intensified, while EU foreign ministers met in Brussels to coordinate the EU's response.

Libya threatened to suspend cooperation with the EU on stemming illegal migration to the bloc if the Union encouraged pro-democracy protests in Libya.
