The EU-China Observer is an electronic journal published by the Baillet Latour Chair of European Union-China Relations and the EU-China Research Centre. The EU-China Observer provides a platform for scholars and practitioners to exchange ideas on current topics of EU-China relations from an interdisciplinary perspective.

The EU-China Observer is published quarterly in March, June, September and December. Certain issues may be dedicated to special themes.This issue compiles contributions about China’s emerging role as a security provider in the Middle East and the EU’s response, the EU’s stake in the South China Sea, as well as the EU as a partner in Chinese energy security in the era of climate change.
