EU deputies to vote on press freedom in Italy

EurActiv reports that the European Parliament will vote on the issue of press freedom in Italy at its plenary session in October 2009, after strong pressure from Italian opposition parties to address the dangers posed by the control over the media exercised by the country's prime minister, Silvio Berlusconi.
