The Serbian part of Bosnia and Herzegovina ( Republika Srpska) abandoned on the 13 May 2011 a plan to hold a referendum on the legality of the country's national court.

Instead, a 'structural dialogue' on judiciary issues would be held instead of a referendum. The dialogue's first session would be held in June 2011, under the chairmanship of EU Enlargement Commissioner Stefan Füle.
