EU-Libya relations

Following the popular uprising in Libya in 2011, the EU made significant efforts, including through the diplomatic track, to assist Libya's transition towards an inclusive and stable democracy and to support the UN mediation efforts in that process. On the 25 January 2017, the European Union published a fact sheet which summarise the relations between the European Union and Libya.

This fact sheet focused on the political transition in Lybia, the bilateral assistance but also on migration speaking about the EEAS EU Border Assistance Mission in Libya (EUBAM).
