The third meeting of the EU-Moldova Association Council was held on 31 March 2017. It took stock of the implementation of progress of the Association Agreement between Moldova and the European Union, which entered into force in July 2016.

The EU and Moldova reaffirmed their commitment to the process of political association and economic integration. They signed an agreement on security procedures for classified information, exchanged views in terms of foreign and security policy, discussed cooperation in the area of justice and addressed progress made under the DCFTA.
