EU parliament to vote on Palestine statehood / Danish parliament to vote on Palestine recognition / Israel warns France of ‘grave mistake’

Preview and reports of a vote on a motion in the European Parliament on the 27 November 2014 on the question of recognising Palestine as a state.

While not a binding vote, it came at a time of rising pro-recognition sentiment in Europe.

In addition, EUObserver reported on the 24 November 2014 that against the wishes of the Danish government, there was to be a debate and vote in the Danish Parliament in the coming two months on instructing its government to recognise Palestine.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned France in November 2014 that its parliament would be making a 'grave mistake' if it recognised a Palestinian state in a vote on the 2 December 2014.
