EU Strategy for Adriatic and Ionian Region: Developing coastal communities region by region

Summary:

The European Commissioner for Environment, Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Karmenu Vella made a speech at the launch conference of the EU strategy for the Adriatic and Ionian Region (EUSAIR), on 18 November 2014.

The strategy was proposed by the European Commission in June 2014 and adopted by the Council of the European Union in September. It was eventually endorsed by the European Council in October.
