EU to tighten pesticide controls

The Council reached a political agreement at the Agriculture council, Luxembourg, 23 June 2008 with a view to the adoption of a common position on a draft regulation concerning the placing of plant protection products on the market following the first reading under the co-decision procedure with the European Parliament.
