EurActiv reported that Turkey has indicated its intention to veto the EU's participation in the NATO summit in Chicago, 20-21 May 2012 in an apparent sign of growing disenchantment with the European Union before the rotating EU Presidency is taken up for six months from July 2012 by Cyprus, a country that Turkey refuses to recognise.
