Feature published by EurActiv in May 2016 regarding the misappropriation of EU funding by Denmark's MEP Morten Messerschmidt, through two organisations he used to chair.

In August, a former member of Dansk Folkeparti accused Mr Messerschmidt of identity theft and reported him to the police. Shortly after, Mr Messerschmidt announced he would step down as leader of the Danish People’s Party in the European Parliament.
